INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP
AILGG individual grades of the institute’s membership include: Affiliate, Associate, Member and Fellow. These membership grades are designed to reflect your qualification experience and competencies at any given time. Members are required to upgrade their skill and also membership level as they grow in leadership by attending the Continuous Leadership Development (CLDP) Programmes of the Institute.
This is our entry-level grade and is suitable anyone with a minimum of Diploma, NCE and/or other equivalent certificates with less than 5 years post qualification experience. This grade is also open to undergraduate (200 level and above)
To join AILGG at Associate grade (A.AILGG) one must hold a degree, Higher National Diploma, Advanced Diploma or equivalents in any discipline with a minimum of 3years post qualification experience or Hold a Diploma with up to 10 years post qualification experience and significant leadership exposure.
The Full Member grade (M.AILGG) is for those who are able to demonstrate practical leadership skills and experience across a wide range of competences. Candidates must hold a minimum of First degree, Higher National Diploma, Advanced Diploma or equivalents with 5 years’ post qualification experience. A higher qualification will be an added advantage.
Fellowship of the AILGG is the most prestigious grade of the Institute. Attainment of this signifies LEADERSHIP DISTINCTION and should be the goal for all. To be eligible to join AILGG at Fellow grade (F.AILGG) applicants must have a minimum of Masters Degree or equivalents in any field with additional training in leadership, management and governance or a Doctorate Degreeand ability to demonstrate significant knowledge of leadership and governance. A minimum of 10 years of leadership and managerial position in public and/or private sectors organization is also required. First degree with strategic level leadership position may be considered.
FELLOW’S grade is not attained automatically; applications will be subjected to rigorous screening of their submission by the Council. Successful candidate will eventually be notified of their qualification for the FELLOWS’ status after the evaluation.
