The African Institute for Leadership and Good Governance (AILGG) offers mentorship programs designed to support the growth and development of emerging leaders in Africa.

Objectives

  1. Leadership Development: Develop the leadership skills and competencies of emerging leaders.
  2. Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge, expertise, and experience between mentors and mentees.
  3. Networking: Provide opportunities for mentees to connect with experienced leaders and professionals.

Mentorship Programs

  1. Leadership Mentorship Program: A 12-month program that pairs emerging leaders with experienced mentors.
  2. Executive Mentorship Program: A 6-month program designed for senior leaders, providing one-on-one mentorship and coaching.
  3. Women in Leadership Mentorship Program: A 12-month program specifically designed for women leaders, addressing the unique challenges they face.

Mentorship Approach

  1. One-on-One Mentorship: Mentees are paired with experienced mentors for one-on-one guidance and support.
  2. Group Mentorship: Mentees participate in group sessions, sharing experiences and learning from each other.
  3. Coaching and Feedback: Mentors provide coaching and feedback to support mentees’ growth and development.
